Peach Scones

These fluffy peach scones are perfect for a summer breakfast or brunch. Made with fresh peaches and a touch of sweetness, they're a delightful treat.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup cold unsalted butter cut into cubes
  • 1 cup chopped fresh peaches
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in the peaches and milk until just combined.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat into a 1-inch thick circle.
  • Cut into 12 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with butter and jam.
