pumpkin chocolate bread

A moist pumpkin bread loaded with chocolate chips and warm fall spices, perfect for snacking or dessert.

  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2.25 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 2 count large eggs
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups pumpkin puree
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in a bowl until combined.
  • In a separate bowl whisk eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Whisk in pumpkin puree, oil, and orange juice.
  • Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, covering loosely with foil if the top browns too quickly.
  • Let bread cool completely in the pan on a rack before slicing.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
