  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 12 oz chocolate chips for coating

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
  • Add in the vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. Mix until well combined.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely, then crumble it into a bowl.
  • Mix in softened cream cheese until a dough-like mixture forms.
  • Roll the mixture into balls and place on a baking sheet.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and dip each truffle into the chocolate to coat.
  • Refrigerate until the chocolate shell is set.

Notes

For best results, use a high-quality chocolate for coating.
