  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 jar salsa verde (16 ounces)
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 0.5 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt for serving (optional)
  • 0.25 cup lime juice

Preparation Steps

  • Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker.
  • Pour salsa verde and chicken broth over the chicken.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks.
  • Stir in cilantro and lime juice.
  • Serve with sour cream or Greek yogurt, if desired.
