Salted Butterscotch Cookies

These Salted Butterscotch Cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with butterscotch flavor. The perfect sweet and salty treat!

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar packed
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Butterscotch Chips
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt for sprinkling

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the butterscotch chips.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
