Preparation Steps
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the cod fillets in the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside. Reduce the heat to medium.
Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Stir in the lemon juice and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the seared cod and serve immediately.
