Instructions
Preparation Steps
Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Season the scallops with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the scallops to the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Lower the heat to medium, add butter and garlic to the skillet, and cook until the butter melts.
Serve the scallops hot, with the butter sauce drizzled over them.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice over the scallops before serving.
