Slow Cooker Turkey a la King

Turn leftover Thanksgiving turkey into a comforting meal with this Slow Cooker Turkey a la King. Ladle over biscuits for a family dinner.

  • 4 cups leftover cooked turkey
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 small green pepper diced
  • 1 small red pepper diced
  • 1 stalk celery diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz can
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tbsp salted butter
  • 1.5 cup frozen peas
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • biscuits to serve

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Add the turkey, onion, peppers, celery, chicken stock, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder and butter to the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
  • Add the peas, mushrooms and cream 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve over biscuits.
