Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough Layer

  • 1 cup 0.5 lb unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup 0.35 lb brown sugar
  • ¼ cup 0.12 lb granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups 0.56 lb all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups 0.37 lb chocolate chips

For the Oreo Layer

  • 1 package 14 oz / 0.88 lb Oreo cookies

For the Brownie Layer

  • 1 cup 0.5 lb unsalted butter
  • 8 oz 0.5 lb semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup 0.5 lb granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup 0.38 lb brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup 0.19 lb all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup 0.03 lb cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cookie Dough Layer

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Press the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 2: Add the Oreo Layer

  • Place the Oreo cookies in a single layer on top of the cookie dough, pressing them slightly into the dough. You may need to break a few to fit.

Step 3: Prepare the Brownie Layer

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and chopped chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour in the melted chocolate mixture and whisk until combined.
  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter over the Oreo layer, spreading it evenly.

Step 4: Bake the Slutty Brownies

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are fine).
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  • Slice and enjoy! These brownies are rich and fudgy, perfect on their own or served with a scoop of ice cream.
