Preparation Steps
Divide ground beef into four equal portions.
Season each portion with salt and pepper.
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place one portion of seasoned beef into the skillet and smash it down with a spatula to create a thin patty.
Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
Top with cheese during the last minute of cooking.
Repeat with remaining beef portions.
