Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat and simmer for at least 20 minutes, or longer for a richer flavor, stirring occasionally.
While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
Serve the meat sauce over the cooked spaghetti.
Notes
Serve with a side of garlic bread and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
