Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Classic spaghetti with a rich meat sauce, a comforting and satisfying meal perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 pound Spaghetti
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 28 ounce Crushed tomatoes
  • 6 ounce Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Water

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and water. Bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for at least 15 minutes, or longer for a richer flavor, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve the meat sauce over the cooked spaghetti.

Notes

Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
