  • 15 oz canned pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, and water. Mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
