For the Dough 3 cups 0.75 lb all-purpose flour ¼ cup 0.06 lb granulated sugar 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast ½ teaspoon salt ¾ cup 0.18 L warm milk (110°F/43°C) ¼ cup 0.06 lb unsalted butter, melted 1 large egg For the Filling ½ cup 0.12 lb unsalted butter, softened ⅓ cup 0.08 lb granulated sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 ½ cups 0.37 lb fresh strawberries, diced For the Vanilla Glaze 1 cup 0.25 lb powdered sugar 2 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Step 1: Make the Dough In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
In a separate bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Prepare the Filling In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon until combined. Set aside.
Dice the fresh strawberries and set them aside.
Step 3: Assemble the Rolls After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12x18-inch rectangle.
Spread the cinnamon butter mixture evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle the diced strawberries on top.
Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal slices.
Step 4: Bake the Cinnamon Rolls Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and place the rolls inside, leaving a little space between each one.
Cover the rolls and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
Bake the rolls for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 5: Make the Vanilla Glaze While the rolls bake, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze. Adjust the consistency with more milk if needed.
Storage: Store leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Freezer-Friendly: You can freeze unbaked rolls after assembling them. Thaw overnight in the fridge, let them rise, then bake as directed.
Add-Ins: Try adding cream cheese or a drizzle of strawberry syrup on top for an extra indulgent touch.
Serving Tip: These rolls pair perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea for a cozy morning treat.
