  • 2 cups crushed pretzels use salted pretzels for best flavor
  • 0.75 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 container whipped topping thawed, 8 ounces
  • 2 packages strawberry gelatin mix 3 ounces each
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 4 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons sugar in a bowl. Press into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake the pretzel crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let it cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust, ensuring it reaches all edges.
  • In a bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in fresh strawberries.
  • Pour strawberry mixture over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.

Notes

For a sweeter flavor, use sweetened whipped topping.
