Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons sugar in a bowl. Press into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake the pretzel crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let it cool.
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
Spread cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust, ensuring it reaches all edges.
In a bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in fresh strawberries.
Pour strawberry mixture over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
Notes
For a sweeter flavor, use sweetened whipped topping.
