Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine sweet potato puree, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Add cocoa powder, almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in chocolate chips (if using).
Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, underbake slightly. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
