Taco Bake Recipe

A delicious and easy Taco Bake recipe perfect for a weeknight dinner. Layers of seasoned ground beef, cheese, and tortillas make this a family favorite!

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef Lean ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning Low sodium
  • 1 cup Water
  • 10 oz Rotel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies Drained
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 6 count Flour Tortillas 6-inch size
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine Rotel, cream cheese, and sour cream. Mix well.
  • Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with tortillas, followed by the ground beef mixture and cheddar cheese. Repeat layers. End with cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with your favorite taco toppings.

Notes

Optional toppings: salsa, guacamole, chopped tomatoes, green onions, olives.
