Texas Fajitas

These sizzling Texas fajitas are a crowd-pleaser! Tender marinated steak, bell peppers, and onions are cooked to perfection and served with warm tortillas and your favorite toppings.

  • 1.5 pounds Skirt steak cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 2 bell peppers Bell peppers sliced (various colors)
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 12 count Tortillas Warmed

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and water.
  • Place the steak strips in a bowl or resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Toss to coat and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until cooked to your liking.
  • Add the onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until softened.
  • Serve the fajitas immediately with warm tortillas and your favorite toppings.

Serve with your favorite toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and cheese.
