Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
Pour into a greased casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes.
